I'm always hesitant to start an internet challenge. I love making new work, giving myself mini assignments and joining an online community for support, but sometimes I just can't keep up. This is the first year that I'm attempting the 100 Day Project.
Last Sunday, Matt, the girls and I spent an afternoon at the Art Institute of Chicago. Ever since my first visit in middle school, I have been in awe of this place. I go just often enough to see something totally new each time.
Every month, my friends and I at Pencil Parade create a little newsletter full of art, silly tidbits about ourselves and a monthly desktop calendar (you should consider signing up!). March was my turn for calendar duties, and I love how this one turned out. Enjoy!
Have you heard the news? I'll be in New York in May exhibiting in my first trade fair with my art collective Pencil Parade. We would love to see you there! If you're interested in scheduling an appointment, please email me! It's free to attend Blueprint, but you must register in advance. See you there!
A little gift for anyone who lives in or has the pleasure of traveling to my fair city: Free Chicago; a dozen great things to see and do for $0. Here are a few extra notes and links to everything on my map:
