Sunday at the Art Institute

Last Sunday, Matt, the girls and I spent an afternoon at the Art Institute of Chicago. Ever since my first visit in middle school, I have been in awe of this place. I go just often enough to see something totally new each time. Last weekend, we got to play in Hélio Oiticica's To Organize Delirium (so wonderful for all ages!), Matt and I gawked over the Modern Velvet exhibit in the textiles gallery, and I made a couple of classically-inspired color palettes. Below is "Business," 1921, by Charles Demuth and From "Self-Portrait of My Sister," 1941, by Gertrude Abercrombie.⠀
